BOATSHED MARKET
Cottesloe, Western Australia
Boatshed Market, an institution in Cottesloe since 1988, is known for its premium produce, gourmet deli and bakery.
Our team was engaged to renovate the bakery and create a new coffee bar, the challenge was immediate, the store had to remain open throughout construction meaning we could only work between the hours of 8 pm and 5 am.
Extensive planning went into sequencing every step. Demolition and installation took place across consecutive nights, with the team often working until 3am to ensure trading could resume each morning. To minimise disruption, custom cabinetry, cladding and fixtures were fabricated off-site and installed with precision on-site.
In a compact heritage space, every millimetre mattered. New flooring, hand-laid herringbone cladding, and stone benchtops were combined with a custom stucco finish from Porter’s Paints, bringing warmth and texture to the final design.
The result is a seamless transformation that balances craftsmanship and practicality — a modern addition that enhances the flow and atmosphere of one of Perth’s most iconic food destinations.
