LEADERSHIP TEAM

ROWAN STREATER

  • Born and raised in Yallingup, Western Australia, Rowan has built his career from the ground up. Starting out as a carpenter in the mid-2000s, he spent years on the tools before founding his own carpentry company, Streater Group. That practical foundation shaped the builder he is today. Rowan understands every stage of the build because he’s done it himself.

Over nearly two decades, he has led projects across residential, commercial, and aged-care construction, developing a reputation for his high standards, sharp eye for detail, and deep respect for craftsmanship. Many of the people who work alongside him today have been part of his journey since the early Streater Group days, a reflection of his loyalty and the strength of those relationships.

For Rowan, relationships are everything — whether it’s with clients, trades, or long-term collaborators, he believes the best outcomes come from trust, transparency, and shared respect.

As Managing Director of Mayfair Building Co, Rowan drives the company’s continued growth across Western Australia and New South Wales. He remains closely involved in each project, combining technical precision with genuine care for the people and project outcomes involved. Every job is personal to him.

Driven, exacting, and passionate about his craft, Rowan sets the tone for Mayfair: a builder that values integrity, teamwork, and results built to last.

WAYNE JONES

  • With more than three decades of experience in construction, project management, and education, Wayne brings technical expertise and operational rigour to every facet of Mayfair Building Co. His career spans residential, commercial, and aged-care projects across Western Australia and beyond, supported by an extensive list of industry qualifications and leadership roles.

Before joining Mayfair, Wayne founded and led Builders Training of Western Australia, one of the state’s respected registered training organisations, where he developed nationally accredited programs and mentored hundreds of builders and tradespeople. His time as a TAFE lecturer also shaped a reputation for clarity, patience, and a genuine interest in helping others progress in the industry.

Wayne has worked across all sides of construction — from inspecting and managing complex projects to writing the frameworks that govern industry standards. He has served on multiple government and industry advisory groups, authored training resources, and contributed to the development of Australia’s building education landscape.

At Mayfair, Wayne plays a pivotal role in governance, safety, and compliance, ensuring that every project meets the company’s exacting standards. He’s also a trusted mentor within the team, offering guidance drawn from a lifetime of experience.

Respected for his integrity and depth of knowledge, Wayne provides the steady hand that anchors Mayfair’s commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

JOHN KRASENSTEIN

  • John brings financial discipline, strategic clarity, and a human touch to Mayfair Building Co. As Chief Financial Officer, he oversees the company’s financial operations, risk management, and strategic growth across Australia, ensuring each project is grounded in sound commercial insight.

A Chartered Accountant with more than fifteen years’ experience across construction, mining, and corporate advisory, John has held senior positions at Deloitte, DDH1 Drilling, and Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group before joining Mayfair. His expertise in capital investment, forecasting, and financial modelling is matched by an ability to translate complex numbers into clear, actionable strategy.

John shares deep roots in Western Australia’s south west, where teamwork, loyalty, and honesty are part of the DNA. Those values continue to shape how he leads — collaborative, direct, and committed to building strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners alike.

John brings a competitive spirit and sense of camaraderie to his work in finance. For him, success is always a team effort — and that belief runs through every aspect of Mayfair’s culture.
